Beating plastic pollution through the 4R’s lifestyle

This year’s World Environment Day focus was on “Beating  Plastic Pollution”. It is a United Nations led celebrations and the most significant event in the calendar as key figures stand up in the name of change. Since 1974, the day has evolved into a global crusade encouraging awareness and action to protect the environment. A  2018 UN report shows that,  100 million plastic bags used to be handed out  every year in Kenya by supermarkets alone before the ban.
